Calculation of Weight a_ij,

Depending on the results, faculty members, good transport system, special course, good environment for education, public school, private school, less tuition fee, co-education of each school different weight  a_ij  were developed.

To calculate the weight of the school based on results two different formula were used namely: weight for high school based on results is a_ij (R_h)    and weight for primary school based on results is a_ij (R_h)_.

• Calculation of a_ij (R_h)    for high school based on result,

To get the weight value of high school, a household survey was conduct, which conducts on the students, guardians, teachers of the study area. These respondents justify the results of high school on the basis of average passing rate each year in S.S.C. examination, grade marks achieve by the students in S.S.C. and the result of junior scholarship (Islam, 2007).  

Based on this survey, weight for the high school based on result is formulated,

a_ij (R_h) ,Weight of high school based on S.S.C. results

R_{s ,}  Average of percentage of passed rate  in S.S.C. examination  2004 - 06.

s₁ to s_6,  weight value based on GPA

And the values are as, s₁=1,s₂=.79;s₃=.69;s₄=.59;s₅=.49;s₆=.39

n₁ to n₆, Average number students of 2004-06, got different grades in SSC examination, namely: A⁺,A^- ,A, B,C,D,F.

j₁ and j₂ ,weight value based on the result of junior scholarship and it is 1 for first grade and .8 for second grade

Finally, m₁ and m ₂, average number of students got scholarship in first and second grade.

The Table 1 describe the weight value of high schools based on result within the study area,

• Calculation of a_ij (R)    for primary school based on result,

Based on this survey, weight for the primary school based on result is formulated,

a_ij(R _p), Weight of primary school based on results

R_s, Average of percentage of passed rate of all classes.

p₁ and p₂ ,weight value based on the result of junior scholarship and it is 1 for first grade and .8 for second grade

Finally, n₁ and n ₂, average number of students got scholarship in first and second grade. Weight value of primary school based on result represents in Table 2.
